Through the Ascott Step Forward – Shoes to School initiative, over 2,600 pairs of shoes and nearly 15,400 pairs of socks were gifted to school-going children in preparation for school. Bangkok, Thailand, 19 January 2026 – The Ascott Limited (Ascott) recently concluded its year-end community engagement initiative in Thailand, Ascott Step Forward – Shoes to School 2025, as part of the company’s Ascott CARES programme and CapitaLand’s annual global community initiative #GivingAsOne. An affirmation of its commitment to uplifting communities that Ascott operates in, Ascott Step Forward – Shoes to School 2025 took place from September to December 2025, supporting underprivileged children from across 6 provinces in Thailand through direct school visits and hands-on volunteer engagement. Students at Wat Nong Bua School in Ayutthaya proudly hold their new shoes received through the Ascott Step Forward – Shoes to School initiative. With a key focus on providing essential school wear to children in underserved communities to ease everyday challenges and support their educational journey, the initiative saw the participation of over 300 associates from Ascott’s portfolio of 20 properties in Thailand in regular school visits and a joint contribution of over THB 1.5 million from Ascott and CapitaLand Hope Foundation. Through the four-month initiative, over 2,600 pairs of shoes and nearly 15,400 pairs of socks were directly delivered to students from 29 schools across Nakhon Pathom, Ayutthaya, Chachoengsao, Rayong, Chonburi, and Phetchaburi, benefiting students from pre-school through to high school.
